Veyo is an English-learning app with an AI tutor called Vee. This page explains what information Veyo uses, why, and the choices you have. Questions: bilal@learnveyo.com.
What we collect
- Your account: when you sign in with Google or Apple, we receive your email address and name. You may also tell the app the name you want Vee to call you.
- Your learning progress: lessons finished, words saved, levels, settings and V-coins, so your progress follows your account on every device.
- Your voice, when you use the microphone: a recording of what you say is sent to be recognised and checked, then discarded. We do not keep your recordings.
- What you write or say to Vee: your messages are sent to an AI service so Vee can reply and give feedback. We keep counts of how much you used each feature, not the messages. If our safety check flags a message, a short extract is kept for up to 30 days so we can review it.
Who helps us run Veyo
- Supabase stores accounts and progress (servers in Frankfurt, Germany).
- Microsoft Azure recognises speech and checks pronunciation.
- Anthropic (Claude) writes Vee's replies and feedback.
- ElevenLabs makes Vee's voice from the text of Vee's replies. Short, common sentences may be kept and reused for everyone.
- Google and Apple for sign-in, and Google Play for app downloads and subscriptions.
- Cloudflare hosts this website.
These services process information only to provide their part of Veyo. We do not sell your information, and Veyo has no advertising trackers.
Your choices
- You can use Veyo without the microphone; typing works too.
- You can ask for a copy of your information, a correction, or the deletion of your account and progress by emailing bilal@learnveyo.com. We answer within 30 days.
Safety
Veyo is made for everyone learning English, and its content is kept safe for all ages. Vee is an AI and can make mistakes.
